COACH
Wendy comes to us from the Niagara Region where she was a successful competitive singles skater. Wendy was coached by former Olympian Wally Distelmeyer as well as many other talented professional coaches. Wendy enjoys mentor coaching under the guidance of Olympian Ron Shaver and Lisa Woodcock. Wendy has been working with the Ice Breakers since 2004. She began her involvement with us as our Choreographer and then moved into the Head Coaching position in 2006. In her first year of coaching, Wendy assisted us in achieving our goal of qualifying for Nationals in Chilliwak, B.C. She brings fresh new ideas as well as an exuburance and enthusiasm which is certainly contagious!!! In addition to her skating background, Wendy has instructed dance (ballet, tap and jazz) both in the Niagara Region and London. Wendy was also a SALSA dance instructor at the University of Western Ontario. She is focussed and driven but always manages to maintain her sense of humor to achieve results.
The Executive
Our Executive is made up of 5 skaters who volunteer their time.
These individuals hold positions such as Social,
Costume, Finance, Travel and Accommodation and Ice Allocation. They are the backbone of our team and meet monthly to coordinate our year. They also dedicate many hours behind the scenes planning our team activities....... WHAT A TEAM!!!!!!!!!
